You can complete it online in about an hour through any state-approved provider—just search “Texas Food Handler’s License.” The cost is typically between $5 and $15. It’s a short food safety certification required by Texas law for anyone working with food. You can complete it online in about an hour through any state-approved provider—just search “Texas Food Handler’s License.” The cost is typically between $5 and $15. Bring your certificate on your first volunteer day.
